Listening to Pepe Escobar on the topic of Western Russophobic propaganda should make us all cringe in light of the fact that the father of Western civilization was Socrates. In Plato's Phaedo dialogue, Socrates warns of the danger of "becoming misologic, in the sense that people become misanthropic. No greater misfortune could happen to anyone than that of developing a dislike for argument... Misanthropy is induced by believing in somebody quite uncritically." -- page 144, the Phaedo dialogue.
