Wish I had, Greg. For these anniversary type posts, I use the old podcasts, since they are somewhat timeless. Trust me, you'll hear from me when I come!

IN HONOUR OF ZHOU ENLAI's WORLD 'ECONOMY' (Latin 'oikos' = 'home' + 'namein' = 'care-&-nurture') CONTRIBUTIONS At 70 years-of-age now, I remember the news of the 1950-70s with many mentions of Zhou Enlai, as a spokesperson for China, more as an international intellectual, which the US & other colonial powers, unable to dominate, were obligated to engage in dialogue with. Considering the genocide we were involved with at the time worldwide under command of the west hidden fake 'money' (Greek 'mnemosis' = 'memory') oligarchs, this was hoped to be a turning point. Where would there be a collection somewhere of Zhou's writings & speeches? I remember the human sense that; this man made along with Mao Tse Tung in both their long dissertations & short missives. This assertive Chinese tone, had all people questioning western 'exogenous' (Latin 'other-generated') imperialist violent genocidal conquering of Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Philippines & more. Indeed Zhou's intellect had us questioning our western US, Britain, France, Netherlands & Canada's hierarchal oligarch run colonial structures. Thanks for your review of Gao Wenqian, past the misleading title.

Where would Zhou be focused on today, in the creation of 'Community' (L 'com' = 'together' + 'munus' = 'gift-or-service') livelihood for all? While purging China of western parasitic colonial powers is a huge essential step forward, we have to recognize how much of the also western imposed reactionary solutions, adopted out of assumed finance & military issues, were also inappropriate.

Few realize how 19th Century writers such as K. Marx, F. Engels, P. Kropotkin, L-H Morgan, M-K Gandhi & others were primarily researching & reflecting on humanity's long 'indigenous' (L 'self-generating') 'fractal' ('fraction, multiplier, building-block, where-the-part-contains-the-whole') complex community-economy heritage. https://sites.google.com/site/indigenecommunity

Few are familiar with how Jacob Schiff, head of the New York Stock Exchange, financed Lev Davidovich Bronstein Trotsky & Schiff's colleague Warburg, to violently impose false-cooperatives on Russia & this same dysfunction was imposed on China. (see Antony Sutton's 'Wallstreet & the Bolshevik Revolution' for documentation)

I'm 45 years involved in the false 'cooperative' (originally 'co' = 'together' + 'operatives' = 'stakeholders') movement. I helped develop the Fedup Natural Foods Co-op network of British Columbia & operate the La Balance network of Quebec. I lived & worked in traditional Anabaptist Doukhobor, Mennonite & Quaker communities, all co-op disabled to the tragedy of abandonment of billions of dollars worth of productive community capital infrastructure. As our Natural Foods Co-ops were failing to meet their sustainable economy goals, a group of BC organizers formed an indigenous-economy study group in order to share research on the ~100 person Multihome-Dwelling-Complexes (eg. Longhouse-apartment, Pueblo-townhouse & Kanata-village), specialized Production Society-Guilds & time-based equivalency accounting upon the String-shell Value systems of the world (eg. Wampum on Turtle-Island/N. America, Quipu in S. America & Cowrie in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia & all islands. How could we colonial 'moderns' not know about these & other worldwide indigenous systems described separately by indigenous peoples on every continent as the Circle-of-life? https://sites.google.com/site/indigenecommunity/home/indigenous-circle-of-life

Co-ops being one-member / one-vote, don't account-for, recognize or empower individuals & specialists with progressive voting rights for their diverse stakeholder contributions. Co-op local dysfunction, leads central organizers to reach for greater economies-of-scale, causing greater centralization & dysfunctional bureaucracies. While we remember Zhou today for his enormous contribution, it is up to us to engage the formal dialogues & debates, which Zhou modelled his community-economy work upon. Zhou refers to Economic Democracy, but realization of this ancient legacy of individual & collective empowerment, is more accurately exemplified by HuaWei IT corp, as a multistakeholder participatory corporation has done so well with. https://sites.google.com/site/indigenecommunity/relational-economy/8-economic-democracy
