It was Chalmers Johnson who said “I no longer read the New York Times for the news - I read it for the lies"
The NYT has been a tool for propagating toxic hate and fomenting wars at least since it was purchased in 1896 by Adolph Ochs. It has done this throughout the entire 20th century and continuing. Anything that has ever appeared on the NYT Best Seller List is to be regarded in that light.
Daniel Dumbrill also did a good job of exposing another anti-China hate-monger – just by giving him air time …
• Daniel Dumbrill - Debate/Discussion with Paul Mooney, Mainstream Media Journalist & Vietnam War Vet Banned from China
Just as I had not heard of Frank Dikotter until today, I had not even heard of Paul Mooney until this video by Daniel.
It was quite ‘fascinating’ to observe his body language and ponder the psychology going on here. He doesn’t come across as having the slightest genuine interest in the Uyghurs as human beings. He is very well skilled in the techniques of evasion and obfuscation. He just doesn’t seem to be appealing for me to take his side with any warmth or sincerity. I wonder what he thinks about Tiananmen Square, or the Palestinians – or Julian Assange.
I note that he has been featured on China Unscripted … and also regularly writes for [the Rothschilds’] Reuters.
Well spoken Jeff (in the most part).
